Ava DuVernay to Direct Prince Documentary for Netflix

The director behind the movie Selma and the magical world of A Wrinkle in Time is now starting another project, Prince.  Ava DuVernay will be directing a biographical presentation of the life of the late singer, Prince. Deadline announced that there will be cooperation with Prince’s estate and that the late “Purple Rain” singer reached out to collaborate with DuVernay before his passing in 2016. Ava and her editing partner Spencer Averick have been visiting the estate, according to reports, in their attempts to prepare for this big project.

DuVernay stated on her twitter

“The only way I know how to make this film is with love and great care. I’m honored to do so and grateful. “

No title has been announced yet for the upcoming documentary but it is already in the works.
