In wake of the terrible things happening in North Carolina due to Hurricane Florence, Danneel Ackles, Hilarie Burton, Sophia Bush and many more ladies from One Tree Hill set up a fundraiser to help with the devastation. The ladies have ties to Wilmington, North Carolina, which took a direct hit, because One Tree Hill was filmed there.

In a video, Danneel and her husband, Jensen Ackles of Supernatural, explain why this hits close to home for them.
Please help us help a town so many of us grew up in. I’ll have a video for you guys shortly with my own NC story, in the meantime, PLEASE donate! WE NEED YOU https://t.co/clk9zIHVMh

For our sisterhood Wilmington, NC will always be our home-away-from-home. We grew up there, and so many of you grew with us. The ladies of the #OTHfam have been mobilizing for days to get this set up. Please help us help our community & state #Florence https://t.co/97ItcvybCx

The link to the Crowdrise page they talk about is here, and on the website, they go into more detail about the city of Wilmington.
Wilmington is the kind of town where everyone Knows What You Did Last Summer. A place where you quickly become a regular at coffee shops on the Cape Fear. It has been home to all of us. The local families who live there, crews and casts of shows who’ve made it their homes, and the incredible fans who have traveled East Bound for decades to see their favorite Creeks and Ravens Basketball courts. It’s been home to Fire-starters and Empires of Records. Where we’ve all dreamt of our futures in a Notebook or two. It’s provided the backdrop where many of us have found ourselves represented. Where we’ve screamed at scares and cried for love. Whatever it is that’s made Wilmington into your beloved Everytown, your real or imagined home, the folks there need our help. And in the surrounding cities too. From Morehead to the Outer Banks. Hurricane Florence has left devastation in its wake, and it’ll take serious time and resources to repair.
You can donate directly to Random Acts to support the cause here, or you can also buy a t-shirt from Stands. According to the website, 100% of profits will go to Random Acts to support Hurricane Florence relief.
We know from past campaigns how much all of us coming together can make a difference, so if you can donate or buy a t-shirt, please do. Every little bit helps!
