Many New Faces In Season 4 of ‘Supergirl’

Share

Supergirl was the first of the DC panels at San Diego Comic Con. However, we didn’t get a lot of information about the plot for Supergirl‘s fourth season. The trailer that was released was just a mishmash of scenes from the previous seasons. The one major difference was a major upgrade in Supergirl’s costume. It seems a bit much for the Girl of Steel, but I guess we’ll have to wait to see the reason for the change. From the executive producers: “Kara Danvers the reporter will be as big a hero this season as Supergirl.” It looks like both Supergirl and The Flash will be showcasing the power of journalism.

Nicole Maines

We did find out that we have some cast additions. We already knew that Jesse Rath, who plays Brainiac, has joined as a series regular. In addition to him, we welcome April Parker-Jones as military badass Colonel Haley and David Ajala as Manchester Black, a brutal, yet charming guy who seems to have luck to go along with his skill. The addition of transgender activist Nicole Maines is very exciting! Nicole will be playing Nia Nal, a transgender woman who will be finding her way to her destiny of becoming Dreamer.

Let us know what you think of Kara’s new suit, and what you’re hoping to see on the next season in the comments below!

Supergirl season 4 will premier on Sunday, October 14th at 8/7c.

Crystal joined the Nerds and Beyond team in 2018. Three years earlier, she tripped into the Supernatural fandom and decided to stay. It's where her passion for writing was reborn. Her free time is largely centered around creative writing (okay, it's fanfic), providing editing for others, and binging makeover shows. The DC Universe is her other fandom of choice and she lives for the crossover extravaganzas. The main joy in her life is her young son whom she homeschools and takes to Disney World as often as possible.
