When the cassette tape outlining one’s life events reverts to a black and white rewind, what is the first event playing out on the television? For Demi Lovato, it’s the tragic overdose taking place in the year 2018. While it’s remained muted for the most part, the artist is ready to air what has been unspoken through a four-part documentary series. It’ll be raw and revealing; various friends, family, and even musically inclined guests such as Elton John will provide their take with Lovato entwining it all together. More so, it’ll be used as an educational tool for those who may not have experience with such topics as she continues to be a spokesperson for mental health.

The documentary series Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil sparked with the theme of a ninth life, will air on YouTube Originals on March 23. As a teaser, you can watch the preview below.
