Normal People standout Daisy Edgar-Jones has signed on for her next project. Deadline reports that Edgar-Jones will star in Fresh, a new thriller. The movie’s story and who Edgar-Jones is playing is secret for now. Mimi Cave will direct the film in her feature debut. It will be written by Lauryn Kahn, who also wrote the recent Netflix film Ibiza.
Normal People was recently nominated for several Emmy Awards, marking yet another milestone in the series’ popular and critical acclaim after its debut earlier this year. Edgar-Jones’ work as lead character Marianne was widely praised, and it is considered her breakout role.
