Anime NYC is upon us! We took today to get the lay of the land and get you ready for the big weekend.
This year, thanks to the date change, Anime NYC is bigger and better than ever. If you’re heading down and wondering where you can meet any of the guests or find Artist Alley, you can find the map in the official Anime NYC app along with lists of all the vendors, artists, and voice actors in attendance this year.

The big English voice acting guests this year include Critical Role, Aleks Le (Solo Leveling, Demon Slayer), Bryce Papenbrook (Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer), and Max Mittelman (Genshin Impact, One Punch Man), among others, as well as Japanese seiyūs and creators you can catch on panels (and maybe some interviews here later, too). You can find the full guest list on the Anime NYC website. (Please note that autograph sessions with the Japanese guests were already assigned via random lotteries leading up to the event and Critical Role is likely entirely sold out.)
Along with the guests, fans can enjoy visiting the booths of their favorite games, publishers, and anime production companies. Crunchyroll and Aniplex are both in attendance, Seven Seas Entertainment, Kodansha, a Solo Leveling experience, Good Smile, Bandai Namco (complete with a huge Gashapon area), HIDIVE, VIZ, and miHoYo are just some of the big names you can visit.
A Japanese food court can be found all the way at the right end of the convention hall, and if you’re all con shopping out, you can visit the gaming hall with both tabletop and video games available to play. If somehow you’re not exhausted by the time the day is done, there are multiple after parties taking place throughout the weekend.
If you’re new to conventions, or maybe this is your first big NYC show, so here are some of our favorite tips for making it out on the other side of a busy convention weekend.
- Wear comfortable shoes! Yeah, those cute ones might look good, but you’re going to be feeling it later. Trust me, I’ve done it.
- Bring a reusable water bottle, it’s cheaper. Snacks, too!
- Don’t compare your cosplays to anyone else. You look great in whatever level you’re at. The most important part of cosplay is having fun.
- Get the app. They’re not paying me to say that. It’s useful for keeping track of your schedule and finding some of those hard-to-find panel rooms.
- Cash! Bring it. The Wi-Fi isn’t great inside Javits and a lot of vendors’ card readers don’t work. Save yourself from FOMO and go to the ATM before you head in.
- Take breaks when you need them. Don’t overdo it. And get a good night’s sleep beforehand.
- Be respectful of the vendors and artists’ tables! Don’t leave your trash on them or touch things without permission. Also, be courteous to fellow attendees and ask cosplayers for photos.
- Plan your transit route ahead of time, especially if you’re not accustomed to the NYC public transit system.
Anime NYC is one of our favorite shows every year, and we can’t wait to share more with you! See you there!
