With the announcement of Disney Quest closing this year, we took the opportunity to visit this five-floor interactive adventure!
Each floor has a few “big” experiences, surrounded by other games. The first floor, has Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold and Virtual Jungle Cruise. The second floor has Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride and Cyberspace Mountain with the third having Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam and Buzz Lightyear’s AstroBlaster. The fourth floor’s big experience has closed, while Invasion! An ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter tops off the fifth floor.
There’s also plenty of arcade games including classic games and newer games such as Temple Run and Doodle Jump, as well as sports games and racing games.
Take a look below at the video as we take you inside Disney Quest and after the video, see the top 5 things we’ll miss at Disney Quest!
1. Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold
Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold is a 3D game where you enter a room that’s designed as a ship, with screens surrounding you. There are two positions: Captain and Gunner. The captain steers the ship, while the gunners use the cannons and fire virtual cannonballs at the ships on the screen. The object of the game is to get the most gold from sinking fellow pirate ships. This experience is easily our favorite, as well as quite a lot of other people, which is why it tops our list. It’s a sure way to have fun with a group of your friends, with everyone working towards a common goal.
2. Invasion! An ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Enounter
Invasion! might not be everyone’s favorite, but it is on our list at number two because we found it to be one of the most fun games. It’s a great game for four players – and even though the graphics are outdated now, it’s still something great for a team to work towards one common goal – saving colonists and destroying aliens.
3. Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride
Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride lands at number three on our list. In this experience, you are in a game with three other people – wearing virtual reality headsets – and your goal is to find the Genie. You play as Abu who is flying on a magic carpet. You get to steer the carpet, control it’s speed and avoid Jafar as you try to beat the other players.
4. Cyberspace Mountain
Cyberspace Mountain is a ride we’re definitely going to miss. Bill Nye the Science Guy guides you in designing your own rollercoaster. You get to choose the track with all of the loops and turns you’d like and then get to ride it in a rollercoaster simulator.
5. Buzz Lightyear’s AstroBlasters
Buzz Lightyear’s AstroBlasters finishes our list and this is definitely one of the most popular experiences in Disney Quest. You enter the car – which is an enclosed bumper car, equipped with a cannon – and your goal is to fire the cannon balls (more like giant Nerf balls) at the other cars. If you hit the other cars on the designated targets, the car you hit will have it’s interior lights flash and will spin.
What are your favorite experiences at Disney Quest? What will you miss?
