In a new exclusive obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, a spinoff of Aquaman is reportedly in the works.
Courtesy of Warner Brothers
The spinoff will be called The Trench. The film will not feature the main cast of Aquaman, as no official talks for a sequel have manifested as of yet.
The script will have a horror-like feel to it and will be written by Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald and will focus on the amphibious like creatures seen in Aquaman. The inhabitants of the Trench were once part of the kingdom of Atlantis, but after it sank, they devolved into the savage creatures we see in the film.
There are few details known at this time, but it makes sense that the studio would want to continue to garner on the billion dollar success of Aquaman, even if this project will not be a direct sequel of the film.
On this day in 2018, Danneel Ackles made her highly anticipated debut in Season 13 of Supernatural. Since then she’s been in three episodes and all three have been big episodes with some very pivotal moments.

Let’s take a look back at the journey Sister Jo has had so far on Supernatural.
Season 13, Episode 13 – “Devil’s Bargain”
Lucifer has just returned from the apocalypse world and he needs to have his grace topped up. After speaking to a panhandler, he learns of a faith healer named Sister Jo. Interested the idea of a healer considering his current state, Lucifer follows the lead to a community center where he discovers Sister Jo is using grace to heal people. Recognizing her as the angel Anael, Lucifer attempts to drain her of her grace to save himself. Sister Jo isn’t going down without a fight though, and she proves that she’s far from the typical naive angel when she appeals to his greed by pointing out that grace regenerates, so if he just takes a little bit from her at a time they’ll both be able to live longer.

The Winchesters and Castiel track their own lead and Sister Jo’s credit card to find she’s booked a motel nearby. At the motel, Lucifer takes more of Sister Jo’s grace and they talk about how it feels when their grace is low and they begin to experience human sensations: cold, hunger, exhaustion, loneliness. Lucifer says he doesn’t like it, but Jo (like another beloved angel on Supernatural) can see the appeal of free will. In Heaven, her only job was to press a button. All day every day, over and over for a millennia, despite the fact that she had her own ideas and tried to change things. When the angels lost their wings in the Fall, Sister Jo says she felt liberated, not devastated.
When Lucifer decides he’s done talking, he turns to the Bible instead, and Jo gets up to answer the phone. Sam’s calling, posing as a hotel employee and asking Jo to bring her credit card to the front desk. Once Jo exits the room, she’s confronted by Sam, Dean, and Castiel. After they tell her they’re looking for Lucifer, she convinces them that Lucifer captured her and she needs their help since she’s not at full power because he’s draining her. Once in the motel room, she turns on them, sending Sam flying into a wall and ultimately escaping with Lucifer.
The next time we see Sister Jo and Lucifer, Lucifer is talking his way into Heaven via the sandbox portal, and after promising the angels that he could restore their wings, both Lucifer and Sister Jo are admitted into Heaven where Sister Jo takes the spot she’s earned at Lucifer’s side.

Season 13, Episode 18 – “Bring ’em Back Alive”
We see Sister Jo enter the throne room where Lucifer is playing Solitaire. When he questions where she’s been and implies that she should be more appreciative for everything she has because of him, she argues back, demanding to know why he isn’t doing anything more to get the angels back their wings like he promised. After another angel comes to tell Lucifer that they have been unable to locate Jack, Lucifer complains that God would get better treatment, which leads Sister Jo to tell Lucifer, “Uh-huh. Well, before all of us start treating you like God, you might try acting like God. Just a thought.”

After attempting to take Sister Jo’s advice and listening to prayers, Lucifer quickly decides that nothing on earth is worth his time. Not humans or angels, everything is flawed beyond redemption except for Jack. He tells Jo he’s going to refocus his energy on finding Jack so the two of them can combine their powers and recreate a world in Lucifer’s image with people who worship him instead of God. Irritated with Lucifer’s whining, Jo asks him to get over himself and do the things he said he would do like giving the angels their wings back. Once Lucifer confesses he doesn’t actually have the power to do that, she loses her temper and tells him there doesn’t seem to be anything he can do, he has absolutely nothing, so he might as well go back to the Cage.
Of course, that causes Lucifer to lose his temper, and he chokes her with his eyes glowing red until he decides to let her go in an uncharacteristic show of mercy. That seems to be the final straw for Jo, and she proves what a strong, badass character she is when stalks away from Lucifer himself after getting her final word in.

Season 14, Episode 1 – “Stranger In A Strange Land”
We next see Sister Jo after she finishes up healing the sick after a church service. As she exits into an alley, she’s confronted by what she recognizes as Michael possessing Dean.
Sister Jo (Danneel Ackles) questioning why Dean (Jensen Ackles) took Michael as a vessel. Image courtesy of The CW.
As he did earlier in the episode he asks her what she wants. She laughs off-handedly responds, “I don’t know. Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton.” Michael isn’t impressed with that answer, and asks if she thinks this is a joke. She responds that she doesn’t know what it is, but she’d like to be done now. Michael insists she lied and the things that she really wants are human things, and according to him, so disappointing. He confesses that he thought the angels might be worth saving, but declares if they’re all lost, fallen things like her, maybe not, and walks away.
In a move that surprised many, Sister Jo’s next decision was to call Sam and tell him where she just saw Michael.

This is the last we see Sister Jo, but Sam mentions that she’s the one who told him where Michael is in the following episode, “Gods and Monsters.”
Since Sister Jo is still alive as well (as far as we know) it’s probably safe to say that her story isn’t finished on Supernatural just yet. Considering how rare it is to see a strong female character on this show without any familial or romantic ties to the Winchester family, Sister Jo brings a unique quality to the episodes she’s in. It’s still unclear whether she is trustworthy enough to work with the Winchesters and Team Free Will, or if she will always choose to do what’s best for herself above anyone else, but hopefully that’s because it’s an answer that’s still coming.
Supernatural returns from its hiatus on Thursday, March 7, on the CW.

The new series-created by Josh Gad (Frozen, Beauty and the Beast) and Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (Once Upon a Time)- will be called Muppets Live Another Day and will take place following the events of The Muppets take Manhattan.
Splash Report expects we can see this new series hit Disney+ sometime next year.
Well, it was inevitable that we would have to witness the tearful, and potentially terrifying, reunion of Margo and the Eliot monster. And this week’s episode, “The Bad News Bear”, definitely delivered on both of those fronts.
Our gang finally has their memories (and bodies) back, the Eliot Monster has them cornered and is ready to start killing them off (after deciding the correct order of their deaths, of course). Margo finds them, after being warned and prepared by Marina (who leaves, deciding a breakfast burrito sounds much more appetizing than being tortured and killed by the Eliot Monster) and instead of subduing him with the “god meth” that Marina provides her, is able to convince the Eliot Monster that he should go to Fillory and kill Bacchus instead of them. Josh has qualms about this because Bacchus and he are friends. Of course, this means that the Eliot Monster, ever the pragmatic sadist, takes Josh with him and Margo to Fillory. They put the “god meth” into a margarita for Josh to give to Bacchus, knowing that Bacchus would only accept a drink from his good friend.

Back on Earth, Marina enlists the rest of the group (Quentin, Penny, Kady, and later Julia) in a heist to get her “Deweys” – the new magical batteries dispensed by the Library that have become the magical world’s form of currency, or she will turn them over to the McAllisters, who want them dead. She also warns them that she has placed trackers on all of them, so running is pointless. They decide the best way to get these “Deweys” is by nabbing a “Black Card,” the magical credit cards given to the McCallister family by the Library as a ‘thank you’ for helping to restore magic. In order to use a Black Card without being caught, they seek out Penny’s friend Frankie (played by You’s Zach Cherry) who is a master counterfeiter. He also requires some “Deweys” as payment and also “seed magic” and so they enlist Quentin into a “Push” tournament (basically magical underground poker).
Meanwhile, after being chewed out by Julia, Dean Fogg visits Alice in Library jail and tells her that Library has continued writer her and her friends books now that the ominous blank pages have been solved by the return of magic. He warns her that because of this, if they were to regain their memories (and in turn, if she tried to escape) the Library, and thusly the McAllisters, would know immediately where they were. This changes Alice and Santa’s plans for escape, because now they must steal their books (and her friends’) before using his chimney powers to escape. Santa is able to find his book, but Alice discovers a placeholder stating that her and the groups’ books have been taken for “revisions.” Alice tells Santa to escape, but she remains behind in order to track down the books. Santa’s escape in his sleigh is witnessed by a smoking librarian (played by Firefly darling Jewel Staite, and who will probably have a much larger role to play.)

On Earth, after winning the Push tournament and securing some sweet “Deweys” for Frankie, Frankie explains that his counterfeiting works off of “luck magic” which means that the more luck is needed to accomplish the task, the more bad luck gets channeled into an object that must be held by someone staying behind, in this case a little grey teddy bear in the arms of Quentin. Kady and Penny, in some hilarious disguises, head to the magical bank run by the Library to use the “Black Card” to withdraw their required amount of “Deweys.” The bad luck back at Marina’s loft continues to worsen for Quentin, going from a small paper cut courtesy of a paper towel – to a python coming out of the toilet. It culminates in a phone call from Quentin’s mom, potentially about the death of his dad (now that magic is back, potentially his dad’s cancer is too), but Julia convinces him not to take the call while he’s still holding the bad luck bear. Kady and Penny retrieve the “Deweys” and return the loft. They pay Frankie and Marina (who admits she lied about the trackers), and Kady takes the bad luck bear to dispose of it, but instead, uses it to finally take her revenge on Marina for murdering her mother. The result is that Kady ends up with a free, adorable puppy, and ownership of Marina’s place.
Back in Fillory, Josh struggles to gives Bacchus the poisoned margarita. He knocks the first one out of Bacchus’ hand, panicking and claiming “I peed in it!” But Margo tells him not to “nutsack out” but instead to “pussy up” and sends him back in. Josh tells Margo that she is both “a good friend and a bad friend all at the same time.” When he goes back in, the Eliot Monster tells Margo that he is drawn to her because he feels that he is also both “a good friend and a bad friend” because of his need to be around people but also his tendency to murder them. He wants to be friends with Margo, because he can sense her deep love and friendship with Eliot. But she rebuffs him, telling him that she would do anything for Eliot, including die or kill for him, but she will never be friends with the monster inside him. Unless the monster allows her to speak with Eliot, that is. The Eliot Monster denies her request, and also tells her that he will never leave Eliot’s body because Eliot is so loved by his friends. Meanwhile, Josh gives Bacchus the margarita, Bacchus drinks it, and is instantly knocked out.

He wakes up pinned to the base of a tree by the Eliot Monster. The Eliot Monster interrogates Bacchus, revealing that he has no memory of his name or who he is, that his last memory is of the gods, including Bacchus, trapping him in the tower at the end of the world. Bacchus calls him a monster, and the Eliot Monster responds with “but we are of the same family. Why am I monster, but you’re a god?” He then claims that there is something inside Bacchus that belongs to him and he needs to retrieve. He pulls out a knife and guts Bacchus, killing him, and pulls out a glowing organ (that to Margo’s fairy eye is like “staring into the sun”).
Who is the Eliot Monster? What crime did he commit that was worth such punishment by the gods? Why did they wipe his memory? And, finally, what is the magical, glowing organ that he now possesses?

Not too many shows can claim they have aired an epic 300 episodes, but Supernatural can now officially say exactly that! “Lebanon” marks the show’s milestone 300th episode, and it included a few returning characters, some tricky time travel, and plenty of emotions. The episode is not exactly the Supernatural we have grown to love these past 14 seasons (and counting), but rather it’s a look into what would have been if certain things had been just a little bit different.
While many episodes start off at the start of a hunt or a quick peek at the monster of the week, “Lebanon” starts off with Sam and Dean already on a case. We see them entering a pawn shop “looking for the good stuff.” When Dean pulls out a large wad of cash, the shop’s owner takes them to a back room. The good stuff is (of course) one-of-a-kind supernatural items like dragon’s breath. But that is not what the Winchesters are after. They are after a skull of a woman that was executed during the Salem Witch Trials. We get a humorous moment while the owner opens a safe, as Sam picks up a teddy bear and goes to pull the string on its back. The owner warns him not to, but it was still such a childlike and precious moment from Sam!
The skull was just a ruse for the Winchesters. Dean cuts off the owner’s selling spiel to tell him exactly how the owner got that skull. It turns out he took the skull after killing a hunter… a hunter who just happened to be friends of the Winchesters. As is often the case for someone who is caught after committing a crime, the shop owner’s defenses kick in. The owner grabs a perfume that just happens to blow flames when the atomizer is squeezed. Sam and Dean are knocked to the floor, giving the owner time to grab a sword called a “Chrysaor.” He stands over Sam talking about how it will cut through anything with just one swing, and just as he goes to swing, Dean shoots him. As Dean says, “they always talk too much.” Never one to leave a stone unturned, Sam checks the owner’s records and finds he is in possession of many occult items that they plan on taking back home with them.

As the Impala drives off, the scene cuts to a group of three teenagers hanging out in front of a movie theater. It is clear they are talking about Sam and Dean and possibly someone, or something, in the trunk of their car. Cue the Winchesters pulling up and going into the bar across the street from the movie theater to grab their usual. We get a little glimpse of how Sam and Dean are perceived within Lebanon here. To the teenagers, they are a bit of an urban legend. But in the restaurant, the regulars are the “Campbell brothers.” We have seen Sam and Dean drive all over the United States over many years, but it is very neat to see this “local” Sam and Dean, outside the bunker.
Sam lists off the occult items with a bit of optimism, hoping there will be something to help them with their Michael problem. As they get ready to have a nice break from work, we tune back into the teenagers. One of them wonders where they actually came from, along with their “weird sidekick with the trenchcoat.” He is also curious about Jack the Nephilim and describes him as that “kid with the dumb Bambi look on his face.” The others tease him a bit before promising to meet up later. Another member of the group, Max, is clearly attracted to group member #3. And as #3 checks out the awesome Impala parked in front of them and makes a comment about its beauty, Max gets a mischievous look on her face.
The scene cuts back to Sam and Dean, with Sam talking about a pearl that grants wishes. This is the item Sam thinks would be the perfect thing to get Michael out of Dean’s head. But just as Dean goes to point out that all their answers are right there in Baby, said Impala speeds off with Max in the driver’s seat. Sam and Dean run out and approach the one kid left in front of the theater, the one who commented on Jack’s Bambi look. In their true natures, Sam is worried because there are dangerous items in the car, but Dean is just worried about the car itself. The kid however is just worried Sam and Dean might kill him. The kid gives up Max’s name, but he admits that he does not know anything else about her. This means a little research is needed.
Sam heads to the post office, with quite a horrible plan to find Max. He concocts a story and tells the postal worker that he needs the address of the (underage) girl named Max “something,” so he can tip her for washing his car. The woman at the counter is understandably horrified at his request, but Dean enters with all his charm and smoothes things over with Marta by asking about her grandson. She continues to assert that she can not give them Max’s address, but when Dean cranks his charm up to 11, even Marta cannot resist. She tells them where they can find Max’s mother.
At Max’s mother’s workplace, Sam and Dean learn that today is the annual “skip day” at school, which explains why Max was out and about. They also learn that “skip day” often includes a huge house party in town. Sam and Dean rush to the house.
Inside the house, we see the occult items from Baby’s backseat strewn about on the couch while everyone rifles through them. When everyone leaves the room to eat pizza, a cigar box on the side table opens by itself — the cigar box that belonged to serial killer John Wayne Gacy. His ghost is clearly still attached to the object, and a shape starts to form from out of the box.
Upstairs, a school-skipping partygoer in the bathroom realizes that the air around him has suddenly gotten so cold that he can see his breath and the mirror has frosted over. When he wipes away the frost from the mirror, Gacy’s ghost is there to greet him, and he jumps out to grab the partygoer.
Just in time, Sam and Dean pull up to the house in a classic black truck. While Dean is triple-checking every inch of his car, Sam realizes that the boxes of occult items from the back seat are missing. Ethan, the kid who encountered the ghost upstairs, runs out of the house in fear. Ethan’s friend tells Sam and Dean that Ethan thinks he saw a ghost in the bathroom, so they put on their FBI personas and order everyone out of the house.
Then it is down to business for the Winchesters. They quickly find the cigar box open and figure out that has to be the source of all the mayhem. In classic big brother fashion, Dean teases Sam about how this situation is the “best worst thing” to ever happen to Samy, because he loves serial killers, but he also hates clowns. Sam makes it very clear that he is aware of this irony while frantically working to burn the box.
Images courtesy of The CW/Warner Bros.
The trio of teenagers from the movie theater enters the house just in time to see the ghost of the killer clown burn along with the box. They sit down and are given the “monsters are real” speech, but are told to keep it a secret. They agree to keep quiet, but something tells me that the urban legend of Sam and Dean may just live on in Lebanon, Kansas, thanks to these three.
Back at the bunker, Sam finds the pearl he was talking about earlier. They waste no time, and Dean holds the pearl and concentrates on what his heart desires. The pearl works as the lights flicker before everything goes dark, and the red warning lights come on. Usually that is a sign of something nefarious, and sure enough, Sam and Dean begin to get their butts kicked by a stranger we can not yet see. But the unseen stranger is far from nefarious: the lights turn back on, revealing the face of John Winchester.
Images courtesy of The CW/Warner Bros.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s return as John Winchester brings forgiveness, redemption, and closure for the Winchester family. But first, John is brought up to speed.
For John, it is 2003 and Sam is still in Palo Alto. Sam and Dean bring their father up to speed on their lives, telling him of their heroic stories, how God and Lucifer are real, and even about the bunker itself. John reacts well to finding out that they live in the bunker with an “an angel and Lucifer’s kid.” Dean even tells John about his own dad, Henry. The emotions seep in as John tells his boys that he wishes he could have seen it all, but he is at peace because he was taken out by Azazel. It was all for Mary. And as Sam starts to tell his father about Mary, the three men hear her call out from the the other room. John is instantly brought to tears as he hears his wife’s voice. Mary walks into the kitchen as John smiles at her. Mary nearly stumbles when she sees John, but in a few seconds’ time, they embrace each other and kiss.
Images courtesy of The CW/Warner Bros.
Sam and Dean leave to give them some privacy. Dean is ecstatic having his dad back, but Sam is skeptical. He knows time travel has its consequences. But all Dean wants is just one family dinner. He does not want to hear about the consequences or to worry about them. He just wants to enjoy this time with his family back together. After all, it is what his heart desires.
While Mary gets Dean a shopping list for her Winchester Surprise, Sam walks into the library to find John checking out the place. (Warning: this is the scene where tissues are needed.) John admits he screwed up with Sam. It is a huge moment for John to admit that, but Sam just says it is okay. John tells him that it is not okay. He wants Sam to talk about this, but Sam does not want to. For Sam, years have passed. He’s come to terms with it. He know John messed up. He admits that he thinks about John a lot, but not about how many times John screwed up. He thinks of John dying and not being able to say goodbye to him. It leads to John saying the words Sam, and all of us, have been waiting to hear for a long time: “I’m sorry.” Bravo to Jared Padalecki and Jeffrey Dean Morgan for delivering an emotional and profound scene!
Images courtesy of The CW/Warner Bros.
Sam finally tells Dean that he is right about having their dad back and goes with him to grab the ingredients on Mary’s list. However, he spoke a little too soon, because Sam and Dean are about to find out exactly what consequences of having their father back lie ahead. They split up, with Dean grabbing the alcohol and Sam grabbing the ingredients. Dean is the first to find out what is wrong when the bar owner from earlier, Jackson, does not recognize “Dean Campbell.” Then Sam is not recognized by either teenager Max or postal worker Marta. And then Sam sees it: Dean’s Blue Steel wanted poster.
When Sam rushes back to tell Dean what he has discovered, Dean has a surprise for Sam (and quite the treat for us viewers). Dean has discovered online that Sam runs a law firm, and then he proceeds to show him a video of Sam speaking about health in what Dean calls his “wannabe TEDx Talk.” While Dean stills hunts in this altered timeline, clearly Sam is a very different Sam. It is enough info, though, for Sam to figure out that their current timeline is correcting itself and that, eventually, they will turn into those bizarre versions of themselves.
Images courtesy of The CW/Warner Bros.
More changes lie ahead when the scene cuts to Zachariah (Kurt Fuller). Castiel walks up and stands beside him. Clearly, this is not the Castiel we have grown to love, but rather a version of him that never saved Dean from Hell. And Misha Collins gives an absolutely electrifying (wink, wink) performance of the angel from his earlier days. I would also like to give a shout out to the writers for having Zachariah calling Cas “Constantine.” That was truly brilliant!
Images courtesy of The CW/Warner Bros.
Zachariah and Cas are there for a reason. They know time has been tampered with, so they enter the local restaurant and Zachariah handles the questioning of the restaurant’s patrons with Castiel the Soldier by his side. Sam and Dean quickly see the glow coming from Cas showing his wings and rush to enter the restaurant and tell everyone to get out. Zachariah is surprised to see the Winchesters. There were big plans for them, but John had disappeared. That was all the reasoning he needed to figure exactly who meddled with time. Sam and Dean are equally shocked when Cas does not know them at all. This is very bad, because Zachariah orders Cas to kill them.
Cas and Dean fight while Zachariah chokes Sam. But Sam grabs his angel blade and stabs Zachariah, killing the angel once again in the show. Cas continues to fight both Sam and Dean and is proving to be quite unbeatable. It is not looking good for them, but when Sam is tossed aside he uses that opportunity to make an angel banishing symbol to send Cas away.
Back at the bunker, the boys break the bad news to their parents — that John must leave. Dean explains to John that if he does not go back, one of those changes will be Mary. With John back, Mary would eventually just disappear, because she would have never been brought back by Amara. John agrees without hesitation because he would do anything for her. Meanwhile, Sam tells Mary how they have to do it. It will involve destroying the pearl Dean made his wish on. After that, everything will go back to how it is. But, John would not remember a thing.
Before they sit down for dinner, John has a talk with Dean. He admits he never meant for Sam and Dean to keep hunting. It was supposed to end after Azazel, but John tells Dean how proud he is of him. He tells Dean he always hoped Dean would have a normal life with a family, but like Dean tells John, he already has one.
Their family dinner starts off very awkward and solemn with John’s impending departure hanging heavy in the air. John is not having it though. He convinces them to be grateful and just live in the moment. And with that, we get a lovely montage of the Winchesters laughing, eating, drinking, and just enjoying their time as a family. It is such a rare, precious moment. Who knew we would ever go from Mary dying in episode 1 to John, Mary, Sam, and Dean sitting down to dinner in episode 300?
Images courtesy of The CW/Warner Bros.
The domesticity continues as Sam and Dean do dishes. It is also a complete turnaround from when John first appeared. Sam think his father having to leave is not fair, and that he wishes things were different. He wishes that their dad would remember and be this changed man they currently have. Dean reveals that he sees things differently, though. He tells Sam that he has blamed John and he has blamed Mary for the things that have gone wrong in their lives. And sure, they could send their dad back knowing what he knows now, or they could even send him further back. But as he asks Sam, who would they be? It is unknown what Sam and Dean would be like. Dean tells Sam that he likes who he is, and he likes who Sam is. He would not change it.
The end of the episode begins with a devastating goodbye. There is not a dry eye in sight as John tell Mary he misses her and holds on to her one last time. The tears continue to pour as John tells Sam and Dean to take care of each other. John tells them how proud he is of them. He pulls his sons in for a hug and tells them that he loves them so much. Dean responds with, “I love you, too.” With that, John is ready. Sam crushes the pearl and John fades away. The restaurant returns to its pristine condition, Dean’s wanted poster turns into one promoting a marathon, and the teens geek out that Sam and Dean hunt monsters. And the last change to return is Cas walking through the door to the bunker asking them “What happened?” Dean tells him, “That’s a story.”
Images courtesy of The CW/Warner Bros.
One would think that is the end of the episode, but we got one last scene. Rain pours down on top of the Impala, complete with the original license plate. John’s phone rings, and he tells Dean on the other end that he had one hell of a dream. This makes you wonder if John might remember what happened, but just in the form of a dream.
The 300th episode of Supernatural was an absolute delight and gave both viewers and characters a lot of closure. Comment below your thoughts on the episode, and be sure to tune in when Supernatural returns March 7!
We are currently one month away from the release of Captain Marvel. This film is one of the most highly anticipated and most talked about Marvel films among fans, because Carol Danvers is going to be the new face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we move into the next phase. Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, which is also International Women’s Day.
And while this is the first film in the MCU to have a female lead, there have been many badass women in the Marvel Universe over the years. We will be highlighting just a few of them, over the next few weeks leading up to the premiere.
Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’. Courtesy of Marvel Studios
First on our list is Margaret “Peggy” Carter, portrayed by Hayley Atwell. We first met Peggy in Captain America: The First Avenger as the fiery Agent of Camp Lehigh helping to train the soldiers stationed there. Peggy would go on to be a valuable ally to Captain America, a skilled agent of the SSR, and a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fans were so taken with Peggy that she was given her own spin-off show, Agent Carter.
Here our some of our favorite moments featuring Agent Carter:
1. Breaking in the new candidates
Courtesy of Marvel Studios
In this scene from Captain America: The First Avenger, Peggy is overseeing the training of a group of young soldiers, when one of them decides to get fresh with her. He says that he has a “few moves” he knows she’ll like. Peggy shows him one of her own — a vicious right hook that knocks the young recruit instantly to the ground.
2. “I know my value.”
Courtesy of ABC
This moment gave us one of the most quoted lines from Agent Carter. In this scene, Peggy’s boss is receiving accolades for a job well done…on a mission she did. One of her fellow agents sees what is happening and wonders why Peggy isn’t upset. Peggy calmly tells him, “I know my value. Anyone else’s opinion doesn’t really matter.”
3. “Do as Peggy says.”
Courtesy of ABC
Another scene from Agent Carter occurs when she is on a mission with Captain America’s Howling Commandos. The group comes under fire, and everyone finds themselves pinned down. Peggy ends up in the firefight, but she tells the commandos to move. Dum Dum Dugan stays back, momentarily asking her, “What would Cap say if I left his best girl behind?” Peggy’s response effectively ends the discussion when she tells him, “He would say ‘do as Peggy says.'”
4. “Agent” Carter

This would seem like an impossible decision to many, but not to Peggy Carter. She takes the vial to the Brooklyn Bridge, and with a final goodbye to Steve, she pours the contents of the vial into the water below.
