It looks like fans have quite a bit longer to wait for the next season of Hell’s Paradise. As announced at Jump Festa 2025, season 2 is slated for a January 2026 release date in Japan. Previously, a visual teasing the new season was shared during last year’s Jump Festa 2024.
In the meantime, a teaser trailer for season 2 was also revealed.
Based on the manga series written and illustrated by Yuji Kaku, Hell’s Paradise: Jigokurakuis set in the Edo period of Japan.
“Gabimaru the Hollow is one of the most vicious ninja assassins ever to come out of the village of Iwagakure. He’s ruthlessly efficient, but a betrayal results in him being handed a death sentence. There is only one hope: travel to a long-hidden island and recover an elixir that will make the shogun immortal and he will regain his freedom. Failure is not an option — on this island, Heaven and Hell are a hair’s breadth away.” – via Viz.
2024 saw the end of Kōhei Horikoshi’s long-running manga series, My Hero Academia, after a decade of serialization. In turn, the anime adaptation is now set to wrap things up with its eighth and final season. It was confirmed at Jump Festa 2025 that season 8 will premiere in autumn of 2025.
My Hero Academia is set in a world where people are born with superpowers known as Quirks. Despite his lifelong dream of becoming a superhero himself, Izuku Midoriya is Quirkless … until he crosses paths with the world’s greatest hero, All Might, and enrolls in a prestigious high school for heroes in training.
Stay tuned for more news on the final season of My Hero Academia.
The visual features a character briefly teased at the end of the first season, Captain Gen Narumi of the First Division. An incredibly strong and skilled member of the Defense Force with a complex personality, the second season will dive deeper into Narumi (and that enormous bayonet).
Meanwhile, fans can prepare for season 2 with the upcoming season 1 compilation film, which will feature a special new episode entitled “Hoshina’s Day Off.” The film will be making its way to theaters in Japan for a three-week run starting March 28, 2025.
Two new trailers for the film were also released during Jump Festa, as seen below. The second features a new ending theme by OneRepublic, who did the first season’s ED.
Season 1 of Kaiju No. 8 is now streaming on Crunchyroll.
An official premiere date has finally been confirmed for the highly anticipated second season of Solo Leveling. Sung Jinwoo’s journey will continue January 4, 2025.
The date was announced in a new trailer, which also reveals this upcoming season’s ending theme song — “UN-APEX” performed by TK. (In case you missed it, the OP, which was revealed last month, will be “ReawakeR by LiSA featuring Felix from Stray Kids.)
“It’s been over ten years since gates that lead to another dimension have begun appearing across the world. The battles between the magic beasts inhabiting the dungeons through the gates and the human hunters who have awakened the abilities to fight them show no signs of ending. Ordinarily, a hunter’s abilities do not change upon awakening, with their rank never increasing. However, the low-ranked Sung Jinwoo, known as “The Weakest Hunter of All Mankind,” gained the ability to level up through battle during a raid on a double dungeon.
Having completed a job-change quest that earned him the job “Shadow Monarch” and command over an army of shadows, Jinwoo heads into battle seeking the ingredients for the Elixir of Life to save his sick mother.”
Solo Leveling is directed by Shunsuke Nakashige and animated by A-1 Pictures. The series is adapted from Chugong’s best-selling Korean web novel.
Don’t miss Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- when it premieres exclusively on Crunchyroll on January 4! Season 1 is now streaming.
