The 78th annual Golden Globe Awards took place this evening, an event recognizing and celebrating the films and television shows that ushered us through 2020. The heartwarming, infectious comedy series Schitt’s Creek was nominated for a total of five awards tonight.

Schitt’s Creek took its final bow in 2020 after six incredible seasons. The show follows the story of the Rose family, who are forced to give up their rich and lavish lives after a bout of bankruptcy. Johnny, Moira, David, and Alexis must learn to cope with the reality of their situation when they move into a motel in the small, quirky town of Schitt’s Creek and find themselves entangled in the lives of its fellow residents.

Created by Dan Levy and his father Eugene Levy, Schitt’s Creek stars the aforementioned duo alongside Catherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, Noah Reid, Chris Elliott, Jennifer Robertson, Sarah Levy, Karen Robinson, Dustin Milligan, and more.

Schitt’s Creek took home the award for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy.

Additionally, our beloved Moira Rose herself Catherine O’Hara won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy.
