Spoilers ahead for the upcoming third season of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
LOTR knows how to bring the drama to San Diego Comic Con, and this time they did it in style – with four terrifying Nazgnagol in full armor.
The upcoming season of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (based on the fantasy series by J.R.R. Tolkien) promises to bring back some familiar faces, and one new (but oddly familiar voice). Simon Pegg will star in the next season as the voice of The Balrog, a creature who will help Sauron forge the One Ring.

Cast members Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Owain Arthur, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Charlie Vickers, Daniel Weyman, and season three newcomer Jamie Campbell Bower took the the iconic Hall H stage to bring attendees teasers and highlights from the upcoming season. Most excitingly, several new cast members were announced during the panel, including:
- Jamie Cambell Bower, who will play Celeborn, Galadriel’s long lost husband
- Zubin Varla, who will play Khamul the Easterling
- Eddie Marsan who will play Thrain, King Durin’s older brother
- Andrew Richardson who will play Anarion, Elendil’s younger son
- Adam Young who will play Marnukh, a mysterious Orc who may not be what he seems


Audiences also got a sneak peak at the upcoming season.
The first four episodes of the new season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere November 11th, 2026 on Prime Video.
