New York Comic Con took place this past weekend, October 9-12, and VIZ Media hit the stage with plenty of anime and manga news, panel lineups, special guest appearances, and world-premiere reveals. For those that may have missed out, here’s a roundup of everything that went down!
Rooster Fighter English Dub World Premiere
Fans gathered for the world premiere of the Rooster Fighter English Dub, which follows the fearless rooster Keiji on his demon-slaying quest for vengeance. The premiere also included the debut of the English dub trailer, first-look reveals of the English voice cast, and the announcement of the show’s opening theme song (“What’s a Hero?” by DARUMA Rollin’).

VIZ Media Industry Panel
VIZ Media came out ready with a full slate of news and first looks during its packed industry panel on October 12th:
- NANA x Vivienne Westwood 25th Anniversary Edition – A limited-edition omnibus (featuring Volumes 1 & 2) with new cover art by creator Ai Yazawa which reimagines Nana Komatsu and Nana Osaki in iconic Westwood looks. Available: Oct 21 (US, Books-a-Million), Oct 30 (Vivienne Westwood boutiques), Nov 20 (UK, Waterstones).
- Black Torch English Dub Voice Cast Reveal – The English voice cast for Tsuyoshi Takaki’s shonen series will include:
- Jiro Azuma – AJ Beckles (DAN DA DAN, Tokyo Revengers)
- Rago – Keith Silverstein (Hunter x Hunter, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
- Ichika Kishimojin – Erin Yvette (Good Night World, Genshin Impact)
- Reiji Kirihara – Kyle McCarley (Mob Psycho 100, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
- Shonen Jump Shop East Coast Pop-Up – The Shonen Jump Shop is finally coming to the East Coast for the first time. From November 21, 2025 through January 20, 2026, the pop-up shop will be open at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, featuring imported manga merchandise, exclusive goodies, and photo ops with Shonen Jump-themed displays.
- Naruto Shippuden: The Complete Series – All 500 episodes across 18 seasons will available in a single digital bundle starting Nov 7, 2025, available on Apple, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home. Note that there will be a special launch price of $99.99 for four days, and then $149.99 for seven days.
- Kingdom English Edition Launch – Yasuhisa Hara’s critically acclaimed historical epic will be published in English for the first time on November 11, 2025.
- Kamudo – The duo behind The Legend of Zelda manga series, Akira Himekawa, have revealed Kamudo, a mythic saga about Kamuna, a half-human, half-dragon child destined to challenge his world’s ancient balance.
One-Punch Man Season 3 – Episode 1 (Exclusive Screening)
One-Punch Man is finally back for its highly-anticipated third season, and VIZ’s NYCC 2025 weekend went out with a bang with an exclusive screening of the first episode (now streaming on Hulu (U.S.), Disney+ (Canada), Netflix (Latin America, Australia, New Zealand), and Crunchyroll (Latin America and Oceania)).
