Over the weekend of January 24-27, FAN EXPO Portland was held at the Oregon Convention Center. Attending the convention alongside fans and creators were fan favorites such as Jared Padalecki, Tom Welling, Christopher Lloyd, and Temuera Morrison.

The convention offered opportunities for fans to see their favorite guests in the form of panels, autographs, and photo ops. Some memorable panels of the weekend included those headlined by the stars of Twilight, The Flash, Supernatural, and a special Superman panel featuring four actors who have played the beloved superhero over the years.

On Saturday morning, Tom Welling, Tyler Hoechlin, George Newbern, and Dean Cain took to the main stage to share set stories and fond memories from their time playing the Man of Steel. Bitsie Tulloch joined them to moderate the panel, which led to her Superman & Lois co-star telling a handful of fun stories about the two.

Later that day, Twilight stars Peter Facinelli and Rachelle Lefevre made their appearance on the stage and also shared memories from their time in their roles, including a hilarious anecdote about co-star Robert Pattinson’s hair from Facinelli.

On Sunday, the Supernatural fans showed out. They filled a handful of autograph and photo-op lines, as well as establishing what might’ve been the longest queue of the weekend for a panel. But before that panel was to take place, more guests were set to make their on-stage appearances. Fans flocked to the theaters to see Troy Baker, Temuera Morrison, James Marsters, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

When it came time for the highly anticipated Supernatural panel, fans of the show and its cast brought lots of energy, as well as some interesting Q&A questions. Show lead Jared Padalecki was joined onstage by fellow cast members Samantha Smith, Alexander Calvert, DJ Qualls, Jim Beaver, and Mark Pellegrino. Together they shared stories from their time on set, such as Padalecki recalling an amusing comment from Qualls about “[holding] the record for tazing the most people on television.” They also expressed their appreciation for their roles and the love the fans have for their characters.

After this panel, the convention was closed out by John Rhys-Davies followed by the Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss cast.

FAN EXPO offers a fun experience for people of all ages, locals, and visitors alike. With gaming spaces, a kids zone, and cosplay events, there’s something for everyone. No matter your fandom or interests, you’ll find your place among other fans at one of their events.
