Hot on the heels of Prime Video’s The Boys appearance at San Diego Comic-Con today, Prime Video has announced Vought Rising, a prequel to The Boys, starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash.
Ackles and Cash will be reprising their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront, respectively. The news was announced during the panel at SDCC. The series will be set in the 1950s.
Paul Grellong will serve as Executive Producer and Showrunner on Vought Rising, from the creative team of The Boys, including Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr will also produce according to Deadline.
Ackles will also be a regular in Season 5, the final season of The Boys, and will also be seen in his upcoming Prime Video series Countdown, and as a guest on CBS’ Tracker. Stay tuned for more news!
