‘BLUE LOCK’ Season 2: New Teaser and Visual Released

The competitive, high-octane sports series BLUE LOCK is set to return with its second season this October. Ahead of the show’s awaited return, a brief teaser trailer has been released, as well as a new poster.

BLUE LOCK is based on the award-winning manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, which is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine.

“‘BLUE LOCK’ follows the dreams of 300 high school students who aim to become an absolute ace striker and lead the Japan’s Men’s National Team to win the next World Cup tournament. However, if they are eliminated from the BLUELOCK training program they will never be able to play for the national team and their career is finished. Only one whose ego and skill triumphs over all will emerge on top.”

Season 1 of BLUE LOCK is now streaming on Crunchyroll. In the meantime, don’t miss the upcoming film BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI- when it hits theaters in North America on June 28.

Lindsey joined the Nerds and Beyond team in 2018. If she's not writing or out and about with her camera, she's probably watching anime, nerding out over Star Wars, reading manga, and definitely forgetting to water her plants. And waiting for the Genshin loading screen to pop up. Contact: lindsey@nerdsandbeyond.com
