New York Comic Con took place at the Javits Center in New York City this past weekend, treating attendees to four nonstop days of pop culture-filled fun. On Friday, October 13th, the Attack on Titan 10 Year Celebration and Dub Panel took place on the Empire Stage.
Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) is a Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, which ran from 2009 until 2021, depicting the story of the last remnants of humanity as they fight to survive against the invasion of man-eating Titans. This year marks a decade since the anime adaptation first began airing in 2013, and it also coincides with the show’s final bow, “The Final Chapters: Special 2,” which is due to make its long-awaited premiere on November 4.
Series stars Bryce Papenbrook and Trina Nishimura, who voice Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackerman (respectively) in the English dub, took to the stage for a hilarious and emotional panel looking on the series, which included a special moment with Mikasa’s iconic scarf and a live script reading.
