Matt Mercer Officially Announced as Vincent Valentine in ‘Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’ at New York Comic Con

Today at New York Comic Con, seasoned voice actor and Critical Role creator Matt Mercer officially cleared the air and confirmed that he will voice Vincent Valentine in the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

The news was announced at the panel for the upcoming game also featuring Cody Christian (Cloud Strife), John Eric Bentley (Barret Wallace), Britt Baron (Tifa Lockhart), Max Mittelman (Red XIII), and Suzie Yeung (Yuffie Kisaragi).

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second installment of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, following the 2020 release of Final Fantasy VII Remake. The updated version of this iconic game not only included fresh new graphics, but an expanded look at the story from the beloved game. Rebirth will take players beyond the walls of Midgar and out into the vast open world.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth comes out exclusively on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. It is available for preorder.
