Cody Rhodes Announcements Revealed on NXT
To open NXT tonight Cody Rhodes had two big announcements to make: the return of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and an NXT Men’s Breakout.
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic has been a yearly tournament since 2015 and has made way for teams like DIY, MSK, The Undisputed Era and more to showcase what they can do. As for the Men’s Breakout, NXT is currently in the midst of crowning a Women’s Breakout star and when that concludes the Mens tournament will begin according to Rhodes.
Rhodes also announced he’s the special General Manager for tonight and with that comes his first order of business. Rhodes has made LA Knight the special guest referee for Dominik Mysterio vs. Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship.
