The official trailer for Quiz Lady, a hilarious and heartfelt comedy starring Awkwafina and Sandra Oh, has been released by 20th Century Studios.
The story follows Anne (played by Awkwafina), a brilliant but uptight woman obsessed with gameshows, and her estranged sister Jenny (played by Sandra Oh). Together, they must help their mother, who is in debt due to gambling. When Anne’s dog is kidnapped, the sisters go on a wild cross-country adventure to win money by making Anne a gameshow champion.
Quiz Lady is directed by Jessica Yu and written by Jen D’Angelo and stars Awkwafina, Sandra Oh, Jason Schwartzman, Holland Taylor, Tony Hale, and Will Ferrell.
Quiz Lady is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, September 9. The film will be exclusively available for streaming on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories starting November 3, 2023.
