New York Comic Con is upping the ante for book lovers at this year’s event. Recently, ReedPop announced that a new, book-centric feature is heading to the show floor, officially called the Writers Block. While authors, publishers, and booksellers have been present at NYCC before, this year will be the largest display yet for the convention.

Writers Block will feature a variety of bookish content for attendees, including programming, literary guests, and more. Programming wise, there will be several panels that range from author spotlights to discussions about writing to signings. More than 60 authors will attend, including the already announced Cassandra Clare, VE Schwab, Rachel Smythe, and more on the way. Additionally, Writers Block will feature debut and independently published authors.

On the show floor, Writers Block expands much of what attendees already know to expect from NYCC. This year, there will be a new section of tables in Artist Alley. Barnes & Noble Union Square returns as the convention’s official bookseller. Big name and smaller publishing houses will also continue to set up booths around the convention, with chances for attendees to purchase books, enter giveaways, and more.

New York Comic Con takes place from Thursday, October 12, through Sunday, October 15, at the Javits Center in New York City. The event already has a stacked guest lineup that includes Ewan McGregor, Chris Evans, cast from movies and shows like Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Who, and Our Flag Means Death, professional wrestlers, podcasters, voice actors, and many more. Remaining tickets are available for purchase here, with photo ops and select autographs available here.
