As part of this year’s Tudum event in Brazil, Netflix has shared a new clip from The Witcher season 3, which is set to premiere on the streamer later this month. The clip features Henry Cavill, who is in the role of Geralt of Rivia for the final time this season, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, a brief Joey Batey, and more as they fight to defend Ciri from the elves.

The plot summary for season 3 reads:

“As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.”

The Witcher season 3 begins June 29 on Netflix with the first five episodes. The following three episodes will debut almost a month later on July 27. Stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond for updates.
