Digital comics platform WEBTOON and Atlantic Records have partnered for a series of webcomic anthology’s featuring LGBTQ+ stories from Hayley Kiyoko, Ava Max, and MAY-A.

Love Stories is a new digital comic miniseries celebrating LGBTQ+ stories for Pride Month. The three-episode anthology will explore deeply personal love stories inspired by songs from these beloved pop artists both within the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

Kiyoko, Max, and MAY-A are active producers of the series who worked closely with WEBTOON creators to develop the episodes. Kiyoko’s episode inspired by her song “forever (feat. Johnny Rain) is available on WEBTOON now. It follows a young couple dreaming about what their love could look like if we lived in a world where everyone could live and love out loud. “Pride Month is all about celebrating and learning to love yourself,” said Kiyoko in a statement. “A big part of why I’m excited to collaborate with WEBTOON is the opportunity to hopefully inspire people around the world to love themselves in a new way, bringing hope to people who are at different points in their Pride journey.”

Meanwhile, Max’s episode, “Sleepwalker,” from WEBTOON artist Hannah Pattern launching on June 19. “It’s incredibly meaningful when fans reach out and say that they can relate to my music,” said Max. “Pride is a time for everyone to come together, to relate to each other and find community in the shared experience of love. With our WEBTOON Pride Month collaboration, I’m excited to celebrate Pride, the LGBTQ+ community, and the beauty of queer love.”

MAY-A’s episode from WEBTOON creator Mai Hirschfeld will be available June 26 with the episode inspired by “Something Familiar,” her upcoming new single. “I have such a soft spot for telling and sharing queer stories, so being able to see my own inspire a webcomic on WEBTOON is so sick. I hope it helps others within the LGBTQ+ community feel seen,” said MAY-A.
