‘Sweet Magnolias’ Season 3 Coming to Netflix This Summer

Prepare the margaritas — the third season of Sweet Magnolias is set to return this July!

In season 2, it’s revealed that Kyle and Nellie were involved in the car accident that ended season 1 on a cliffhanger. Throughout the season, he is sidelined from sports with a torn ACL. As Isaac continues to search for his birth parents, he finds out his birth mom is Serenity’s newspaper editor, Peggy Martin (Brittany L. Smith). But that’s not also all he finds out … his dad? None other than Bill Townsend. Things between Noreen and Maddie have also (finally!) sorted themselves out as Dana Sue finds herself getting back together with Ronnie. Sadly, Helen suffers a miscarriage, and she finds herself struggling to decide what relationship serves her the best.

The official log line for season 3 reads:

“Following the brawl at Sullivan’s, Maddie wrestles with the best way to help Cal and works to clear her own emotional path. Helen faces difficult decisions about the men in her life. And Dana Sue searches for a way to use Miss Frances’ check to help the community, without upending her family. The identity of the tire slasher sends shockwaves through Serenity, the recall causes unexpected consequences, and there are romantic surprises in every generation.”

Season 3 of Sweet Magnolias premieres July 20 on Netflix.
