Chris Pine and Olivia Wilde have signed on to star in scripted podcast Ad Lucem from QCode. Created by Troian Bellisario and Josh Close, the series also stars Patrick Adams (The Swearing Jar, Plan B), Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter franchise, Killing Eve), and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption, John Wick: Chapter 4).

The scripted series centers around Ad Lucem OI, a revolutionary tech company that has created a new invention, CARA — Corporeal Augmented Reality Assistant — a live operator that can provide assistance like any human can. But just like any scary technological advance, Ad Lucem’s devotion to maintaining human connection may breed its own consequences.

Ad Lucem is set to premiere this summer. The series is executive produced by Pine and Ian Gotler for Barry Linen Motion Pictures, as well as Wilde, Bellisario, Close, and QCode’s Rob Herting, Sandra Yee Ling, Michele Zarate and Alexa Gabrielle Ramirez.

Pine is fresh off the live-action Dungeons & Dragons film as well as Don’t Worry Darling, where he worked with Wilde who starred in and directed the pic. Wilde most recently starred in Babylon as Ina Conrad. Pine can be seen next in Disney’s Wish as the magical King Magnifico and his directorial debut Poolman starring alongside Danny DeVito and Annette Bening.

Deadline was first to report.
