Rob Delaney is the latest confirmed returning cast member for the upcoming third feature film for Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, starring Ryan Reynolds.
Delaney will return to his Deadpool 2 role of Peter — a human member of X-Force who doesn’t have any powers but makes up for it with a whole lot of heart. In Deadpool 2, Peter aids Wade in his mission to rescue Russell Collins, aka Firefist, from the abusive Mutant Re-education Center.
Other returning cast members include Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, and Stefan Kapicic as Colossus. New additions to the franchise cast are Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfayden, as well as Hugh Jackman who will reprise his role as Wolverine.
The plot for Deadpool 3 remains under wraps.
The film is set to be directed by frequent Reynolds collaborator Shawn Levy from a script penned by Reynolds, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds is also producing the feature alongside Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. This is the first title in the franchise to be released under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney’s purchase of Fox.
