‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Premiere Date Set at AMC, New Photos Revealed

AMC has announced the premiere date for the upcoming spin-off of The Walking Dead centering around Negan and Maggie.

In Dead City, years have passed since we last saw Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Now in post-apocalyptic Manhattan, they must form an alliance to accomplish a dangerous mission, but the island has developed threats of its own. In a teaser released last month, we got a glimpse of a shocking aged-up Hershel (now played by Logan Kim) who has been kidnapped.

“While in the city, Maggie and Negan encounter native New Yorkers, evade a marshal with a troubled past, and hunt down a notorious killer. But as the pair moves deeper into the gritty depths of the walker-infested city, it becomes apparent that the traumas of their tumultuous past may prove just as great a threat as the dangers of the present.”

Alongside Cohan and Morgan stars Gaius Charles as Perlie Armstrong, Željko Ivanek as “The Croat,” Jonathan Higginbotham as Tommaso, Mahina Napoleon as Ginny, Trey Santiago-Hudson as Jano, Charlie Solis as “The Bartender,” and Michael Anthony as Luther.

Dead City will premiere on June 18 on AMC.
