Melissa Benoist is set to join Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe: Revolution for Netflix.

Fresh off of The CW’s Supergirl, Benoist will take over the role of Teela from Masters of the Universe: Revelation first played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. Revolution is a continuation of 2021’s Revelation and Benoist’s Teela alongside He-Man and the rest of the Masters as they struggle to save Eternia from the tangles of darkness.

Revolution marks Benoist’s third collaboration with Smith, having previously appeared in the Jay and Silent Bob reboot as well as Clerks III. “I jumped at the opportunity to work alongside my friend, Kevin Smith and join the Revolution family as another bold and fearless heroine,” said Benoist. “I look forward to sharing the next evolution of Teela’s story with fans.”

Masters of the Universe: Revolution is set to premiere on Netflix in 2024. Revolution is executive produced by Mattel’s Fred Soulie, Rob David and Christopher Keenan as well as Ted Biaselli and Smith.
