Steven Yeun Added to Cast of Marvel’s ‘Thunderbolts’
Plenty of questions remain as to what’s in store for the live-action debut of Marvel’s Thunderbolts, but the cast list continues to grow in the meantime. Steven Yeun (Minari, The Walking Dead) is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a role that, as per Deadline, will be significant both to the upcoming film and the franchise as a whole.
In addition to Yeun, the ensemble cast of Thunderbolts includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier), David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka the Red Guardian (Black Widow), Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr aka Ghost (Ant-Man and the Wasp), Wyatt Russell as John Walker aka U.S. Agent (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier), Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov aka Taskmaster (Black Widow), and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as La Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier). The Bear star Ayo Edebiri also recently joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
Jake Schreier will direct the film, which will be written by Eric Pearson.
Thunderbolts will make its way to theaters on July 26, 2024.
