Paramount+ released a trailer for its upcoming original series School Spirits. Based on an upcoming graphic novel of the same name, the series centers around Maddi, a teen stuck in the afterlife investigating her own mysterious disappearance. Maddi begins to unravel the events surrounding her death while trying to adjust to high school purgatory. As Maddi gets closer to the truth, she uncovers more secrets and lies regarding her previous life and the lives of her fellow students.
Peyton List stars as Maddi Nears, with Kristian Flores as Simon Elroy, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera, and Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda. Also included in the cast is Nick Pugliese, Rainbow Wedell, Milo Manheim, Josh Zuckerman, and Maria Dizzia.
Oliver Goldstick serves as showrunner and executive producer along with creators and executive producers Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud, who wrote the pilot. Max Winkler directed and executive produced the first two episodes. List also serves as a producer on the series.
