‘Chevalier’ Release Delayed, New Photos Give Greater Glimpse at Upcoming Film

Share:

Searchlight Pictures has delayed the release of Chevalier. But fear not, the film is moving from April 7 to April 21 so the wait to see the film in theaters won’t be too long. Alongside the news, new photos reveal glimpses into Kelvin Harrison Jr.’s Joseph Bologne, along with Lucy Boynton, Samara Weaving, Minnie Driver, Alex Fizalan, and Ronke Adekoluejo.

Chevalier sees Harrison Jr. transform into composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. Bologne, the illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, rises to prestige in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer. Fighting back against racism, he would join the ranks of Marie Antoinette’s circle until an ill-fated love affair and a falling out with her and her court jeopardizes his ranks in French society.
