Back in 2021, the Star Wars franchise made its first formal venture into anime with Star Wars: Visions, a 9-episode anthology series featuring contributions from a variety of studios that each utilized their own signature animation styles. The series offered a new avenue of storytelling potential from a galaxy far, far away — in case you missed it, check out our review of the first season.
Now, we finally have a release date for the forthcoming Volume 2 of Visions, which is due to conveniently make its way to Disney+ on none other than May 4.
The second season will consist of another batch of nine shorts from the following studios from across the globe: El Guiri (Spain), Cartoon Saloon (Ireland), Punkrobot (Chile), Aardman (United Kingdom), Studio Mir (South Korea) Studio La Cachette (France), 88 Pictures (India), D’art Shtajio (Japan), and Triggerfish (South Africa).
The first season of Star Wars: Visions is currently streaming on Disney+.
