‘The Rookie: Feds’ Receives GLAAD Media Award Nomination

ABC’s The Rookie: Feds has been nominated for a GLAAD Award! The category they’re nominated for is “Outstanding New TV Series.” Other shows in the category include A League Of Their Own, Heartbreak High, High School, Interview with the Vampire, Our Flag Means Death, Queer as Folk, The Sandman, Somebody Somewhere, and Willow.

The Rookie: Feds is led by Niecy Nash-Betts, and she plays FBI Agent Simone Clark, who is proudly open about her love of both men and women in the show. Simone’s first love interest on the show was a woman played by Nash-Betts’ real-life partner, Jessica Betts.

A print article about the Betts also received a nomination for “Outstanding Print Article.” The article is “Niecy Nash And Wife Jessica Are Sure Betts” by Demetria L. Lucas.

The 34th Annual GLAAD Media Awards take place on Thursday, March 30 in LA and Saturday, May 13 in New York.
