‘Bridgewater’: Alan Tudyk and Tricia Helfer Added To Cast for Season 2

3 Min Read

Bridgewater season 1 debuted to amazing reception from fans and critics alike, no doubt in part due to the talented, star-studded ensemble including Misha Collins, Melissa Ponzio, Nathan Fillion, Karan Soni, Hilarie Burton Morgan, and more. Continuing with that trend, a few new notable people have been added to the production for season 2. Alan Tudyk (Firefly) and Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) have joined the cast for the upcoming season!

It seems that Tudyk will be replacing fellow Firefly alum Nathan Fillion this season as Thomas Bradshaw after his miraculous reappearance in the season 1 finale. While I’m sure Tudyk will do a great job, I’m simultaneously sad to see Fillion go. Helfer is credited as The Legend Tripper. No further information is known about their roles at this time.

Bridgewater follows “a folklore professor, Jeremy Bradshaw, who is pulled into the mysterious 1980 disappearance of his police officer father, Thomas, by new evidence that threatens to upend decades of certainty. Along the way, he’s helped by some unlikely partners who challenge everything he believes in and ultimately tries to answer the question: can the past actually be rewritten? Together with his father’s former partner, retired Detective Anne Becker, Jeremy must chase the clues that will tell him whether his father really did fall victim to a Satanic cult in the Bridgewater Triangle — or something much more dark and unexplainable.”

Season 1 of the production starred Misha Collins as Jeremy Bradshaw, Nathan Fillion as Thomas Bradshaw, Melissa Ponzio as Anne Becker, Hilarie Burton Morgan as Shelley Hoskins, Wil Wheaton as Captain Haddock, Kristin Bauer as Celeste, Karan Soni as Vipin Khurana, and Jonathan Joss as Joseph Hoskins. Collins, Ponzio, and Soni have all been confirmed to return for season 2 alongside the newcomers. The series was created by Aaron Mahnke (Lore) and is written by Lauren Shippen.

Season 2 of Bridgewater premieres January 13, 2023. Until then, be sure to check out all of our content related to the podcast here. As always, stay tuned for more updates.
