NBC dropped the first look at their much-anticipated continuation of the hit sitcom Night Court, and if the clip is any indication, this show should be just as fun as the original!

With clips from the show mixed in with thoughts from the cast, this first look teases fans in the best way possible. From the surprisingly familiar courtroom to the one and only John Larroquette back in the courtroom as Dan Fielding, fans get a glimpse of what they loved from the original show. However, time has certainly passed, and things have changed, although Abby Stone (Melissa Rauch) certainly seems to have her father’s flair in the courtroom. Check out the first look below to see for yourself!

As Rauch states in the clip, this is more of a “new-boot” than a reboot, as it picks up some 35 years after the original but still keeps the spirit alive. Even the cast seems to have picked up on the fun, family spirit of the original show and is excited to share it with audiences when the show premieres with back-to-back episodes at 8 p.m. EST on Tuesday, January 17 on NBC.
