The Spider-verse web is expanding …
The highly anticipated sequel to Sony’s Oscar-winning animated movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has released an official trailer showcasing the array of animation styles featured in the film.
Miles Morales’ (voiced by Shameik Moore) story will continue where it left off after 2018’s animated Oscar-winner Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. While the first installment of this franchise taking place largely in Miles’ home universe, Part One of the sequels will involve an adventure through the Multiverse, with Miles and Gwen (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) reuniting and heading off into the Multiverse together.
The trailer gives us a taste of what adventures are in store for Miles this time around, including a brief tease of Oscar Isaac as Spider-Man 2099, Miguel O’Hara.
Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson direct Across the Spider-Verse, taking over from the first installment’s directors Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman. Returning from the first movie are writer-producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller to write the script, along with Dave Callaham (Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings).
