A24 has shared a first look at director Ari Aster’s next film, Beau is Afraid.
Formerly titled Disappointment Blvd., the Joaquin Phoenix-led film is described as an “intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.” The poster shows what appears to be a younger Phoenix in striped pajamas.
Phoenix can most recently be seen in C’Mon, C’Mon. Next up, he will star in a historical drama about Napoleon Bonaparte, and the sequel to 2019’s Joker, Joker: Folie à Deux.
