Award-winning director Wes Anderson is known for filling his films with unique and eccentric visuals, and his next release will be Asteroid City. Teaming up with Focus Features again, a release date of June 16 has been announced.

Anderson isn’t only a director for Asteroid City, he is also the film’s writer. The movie is set at a convention for children interested in stargazing and becoming space cadets. Traveling back to the 1950s, viewers will get to see how these young scholars will deal with a world-changing event. The film is based on a story that Anderson and Roman Coppola co-wrote together.

Asteroid City has an unbelievable cast that includes Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Ed Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawk, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan, Grace Edwards, Aristou Meehan, Sophia Lillis, Ethan Lee, Jeff Goldblum, and Rita Wilson.

With a stacked cast like this, it’s easy to assume Asteroid City will be out of this world!
