The tenth installment to Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ Saw franchise is heading to theaters next year, and three new cast members have been confirmed. Per Deadline, Steven Brand, Michael Beach, and Synnøve Macody Lund have signed on in currently unknown roles. The trio joins the previously announced Tobin Bell, who will reprise his role as John Kramer.

Another exciting potential addition includes franchise alum Shawnee Smith, who played Amanda Young in the first three Saw movies and Saw VI. When she was first introduced, she was one of Jigsaw’s victims who managed to escape the infamous reverse bear trap. She later became Jigsaw’s apprentice. Currently, there is no studio confirmation though Smith is reportedly being eyed to reprise her role.

Plot details for Saw 10 are unknown at this time, so it’s unclear if it will pick up any threads from the latest installment, Spiral or run with a new storyline. However, with Bell’s involvement, it’s likely viewers can expect flashbacks, as John Kramer died (for real) earlier in the franchise. Kevin Greutert will return to the franchise to direct.

Saw 10 will release in theaters on October 27, 2023. Filming is currently underway.
