The Critics Choice Association has announced the television category nominees for the upcoming 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards.

Lucasfilm’s latest live-action Star Wars series, Andor, has received two nods of recognition following the recent conclusion of its first season.

  • Best Drama Series
  • Best Actor in a Drama Series – Diego Luna

Andor sees the return of Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, exploring a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy. The series focuses on Cassian’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Andor was undeniably an epic addition to the Star Wars universe, one that left audiences buzzing with excitement and anticipation on a weekly basis as new episodes dropped. The series fills a much-needed storytelling gap in the franchise, diving deep into the gritty, unforgiving world of the budding Rebellion at the height of the Empire’s reign.

The entire first season of Andor is now streaming exclusively on Disney+. Catch up on all of our episodic recaps here. Production on the second and final season is currently underway.
