Netflix Releases ‘The Pale Blue Eye’ First Teaser

The first teaser for Scott Cooper’s The Pale Blue Eye has been released by Netflix! Paired with narration by Harry Melling, it showcases the eerie atmosphere viewers can expect to see.

Set in the 1830s, The Pale Blue Eye follows Detective Augustus Landor, who’s assigned to investigate a series of murders that occur at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point. As he does, he’s paired with a young cadet who later becomes known as Edgar Allan Poe.

Christian Bale and Harry Melling lead the cast, along with Gillian Anderson, Lucy Boynton, Timothy Spall, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Robert Duvall, and Toby Jones. Additional cast includes Harry Lawtey, Simon McBurney, Hadley Robinson, Gideon Glick, Fred Hechinger, Matt Helm, Steven Maier, Charlie Tahan, Joey Brooks, and Brennan Cook.

The Pale Blue Eye was written by Cooper from the Louis Bayard novel of the same name. Cooper also directs. He produces alongside Bale, and Cross Creek Pictures’ John Lesher and Tyler Thompson. Dylan Weathered and Tracey Landon executive produce.

The Pale Blue Eye releases in theaters on December 23 and on Netflix on January 6. Check out the teaser below:
