The Town Hall has announced a special live event. This one-of-a-kind evening will honor the legendary Steve Martin and Harry Bliss. The new book Number One Is Walking — My Life In the Movies and Other Diversions tells about Martin’s long and varied career as an actor. Martin called Bliss in to assist in telling his legacy through artwork.
Throughout Martin’s years in the spotlight, he has never written about his many experiences in depth. Most people know Martin through movies and television, but you may not know he has also been busy over the past 40 years doing stand-up comedy, banjo playing, writing, and cartooning.
This live event will be Martin and Bliss discussing Number One Is Walking and their signature cartooning style. Moderated by the talented Nathan Lane, this will definitely be a night full of laughter and unique stories. Fans can purchase tickets through the Town Hall website. Attendees will get a special treat courtesy of Strand Bookstore, which will gift books to all audience members. The live evening will be November 15 at 8 p.m.
