‘Law and Order: SVU’ Receives Four People’s Choice Nominations

Nominees for the 2022 People’s Choice Awards — an award show where the public votes to honor the best in movies, television, music, and pop culture — were revealed this morning. NBC’s hit series Law and Order: SVU received four nominations.

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit is based on the NYPD’s 16th precinct in Manhattan. The series follows detectives and prosecutors as they investigate and prosecute crimes that involve murders, rapes, and domestic abuse. The detectives are specially trained to help victims who are children, disabled, elderly, or have special circumstances that make them a special victim. The show is currently in its 23rd season and airs on NBC, streaming the next day on Peacock.
