Temuera Morrison Joins Apple TV+’s Limited Series ‘Chief of War’

Temuera Morrison (The Book of Boba Fett) has been cast in the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Chief of War.

The 8-episode series from Fifth Season and Chernin Entertainment is starring, written, and executive produced by Jason Momoa follows the epic and unprecedented telling of the unification and colonization of Hawaii from an indigenous point of view. Morrison has been cast as King Kahekili, the King of Maui.

Chief of War marks Momoa’s first time in the writer’s chair for television and he’s joined by frequent partner Thomas Pa’a Sibbett. Momoa has two film writing credits under his belt Road to Paloma and the upcoming The Last Manhunt. Morrison and Momoa have worked together before in both Aquaman films.

Justin Chon will direct the first two episodes and also executive produce.
