Members of The Walking Dead cast and crew paid a visit to the Museum of the Moving Image’s Living with The Walking Dead exhibit.
In attendance, Christina Spade, CEO of AMC Networks, Scott Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, Eleanor Matsuura (Yumiko), Paola Lázaro (Juanita “Princess” Sanchez), Lauren Ridloff (Connie), Michael James Shaw (Michael Mercer), Becca Keating, MoMI Deputy Director of Development, and Barbara Miller, MoMI Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs.
















One of the most watched shows in the history of cable television, the exhibition addresses the origins, production, fandom, and impact of The Walking Dead. From the cinematic and literary antecedents of the series, including Robert Kirkman’s comic books, and the unique innovations it has contributed to on-screen depictions of the zombie apocalypse, with its wide-ranging story of survival and diverse cast of characters. The exhibition includes original costumes and props, concept art, storyboards, scripts, and prosthetic makeup used to transform cast members into undead walkers.
The Walking Dead is currently airing its final season on AMC after returning from a brief hiatus. Located in Astoria, New York, The Living with The Walking Dead exhibition is on view until January 22, 2023. Tickets are available for purchase on the MOMI website.
