Disney Animation unveiled the first look at its newest series Iwájú at D23! Iwájú is set in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria and features “deep themes of class, innocence and challenging the status quo.” The series is produced by Disney Animation in collaboration with Kugali, a rare collaboration with an outside studio. It was first announced back in 2020.
Iwájú will debut on Disney+ in 2023. Stay tuned for more news as we get it!
