Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Mark Strong (Kingsman), and Katherine Waterson (Fantastic Beasts) have joined the cast of the Jodie Comer-led survival film The End We Start From.
BAFTA-winning director Mahalia Belo will bring the novel of the same name from Megan Hunter to the screen with an adapted screenplay by BAFTA-nominated Alice Birch.

Comer, Cumberbatch, and Strong will executive produce the film along with Sébastien Raybaud, Fanny Soulier, Pieter Engels, Kate Maxwell for Anton, Dave Caplan and Jason Cloth for C2 Motion Picture Group, Eva Yates and Claudia Yusef for BBC Film and Lizzie Francke for the BFI. Cumberbatch’s banner SunnyMarch will produce with Leah Clarke and Adam Ackland as well as Liza Marshall for Hera Pictures, Amy Jackson, and Sophie Hunter.
