After another major casting announcement this weekend, Lionsgate has revealed the first look at The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes! The photo shows Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) and Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler) while teasing their unconventional love story that will have drastic consequences for Panem.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel to the hit series that explores the origins of the Hunger Games through the story of Coriolanus, who will grow up to be the formidable President Snow from the original films. Alongside Blyth and Zegler, the film stars Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, and Viola Davis.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will be released in theaters on November 17, 2023.
