Tatiana Maslany to Star in ‘Invitation to A Bonfire’

AMC Networks announced yesterday that Tatiana Maslany is joining the cast of its upcoming psychological thriller Invitation to A Bonfire. Freya Mavor, Pilou Asbæk, and Ngozi Anyanwu were all previously announced to star in the series

Invitation to A Bonfire is based on the novel by Adrienne Celt and is set in the 1930s at an all-girl boarding school in New Jersey. The novel and the show are inspired by Vladimir and Vera Nabokov’s co-dependent marriage.

“Zoya is a young Russian immigrant and groundskeeper in a new school. She is drawn into a lethal love triangle with the school’s newest faculty member and his wife.”

Rachel Caris Love is the creator, showrunner, and executive producer of Invitation to A Bonfire.

Dan McDermott, AMC Networks’ President of Entertainment and AMC Studios said:

“Tatiana is a singular talent who we’ve wanted to bring back to the AMC Networks family since her iconic and career-defining performance in Orphan Black. We’re thrilled to have her join Invitation to a Bonfire’s talented cast and watch her bring to life the wild flame that is Vera Orlov, both on-screen and behind-the-scenes as an executive producer.

The series is set to debut on AMC Networks in 2023.
