Four new actors have been announced for HBO’s upcoming series, The Last of Us, based on the popular video game of the same name starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.
Henry and Sam, the brothers Joel and Ellie meet in Pittsburgh (but Kansas City in the series, a minor change) will be played by Lamar Johnson and Keivonn Woodard respectively. Two additional characters original to the series have also been added. Marlon and Florence, played by Graham Greene and Elaine Miles, are described as “a married couple surviving alone in the wilderness of post-apocalyptic Wyoming” per the exclusive reveal at IGN.
The series also stars Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Jeffrey Pierce, and Anna Torv, along with the original actors for Joel and Ellie, Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, and Joel’s brother Tommy, Jeffrey Pierce, all in undisclosed, but new roles.
The Last of Us is expected to release in 2023 exclusively on HBO Max.
