‘Outlander’ Prequel Series Announced By Starz

Exciting news for Outlander fans! Today, Starz announced plans for a prequel to the hit show, titled Outlander: Blood Of My Blood. This prequel series will follow the love story of Jamie’s parents.

The worldwide hit, Outlander, focuses on Jamie and Claire as their love fights obstacles like war, various villains, and time itself. Stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe shine in their Emmy-nominated roles. Based on the book series by Diana Gabaldon, Outlander takes viewers for a beautiful and emotional ride in every episode & I’m sure this prequel will rise to the same level.

Outlander: Blood Of My Blood will be led by writer and showrunner Matthew B. Roberts, who will also serve as executive producer. Roberts has plenty of experience in this world as he is currently the acting showrunner and executive producer. The series is now in production on its seventh season. The creator of Outlander, Diana Gabaldon, will continue serving as a consulting producer on the series as well as the prequel.
